Lawn Mowing Services
in Calgary
A well-maintained lawn is the foundation of Calgary curb appeal. We keep your grass at the right height through the growing season with clean, commercial-grade cuts — on your schedule.

Weekly, Biweekly, or As-Needed
We understand every property and homeowner is different. Some lawns grow fast in June and slow by August; some homeowners travel; others prefer a call-and-book approach. We offer three scheduling options.
Weekly mowing
Our most popular plan. Your lawn is cut every 6–10 days depending on growth rate and weather — keeping grass at a consistent height and avoiding the shock of cutting off more than one-third of the blade.
Biweekly mowing
Works well for lower-maintenance yards or drier periods when growth slows. We come every 14 days to keep things tidy without over-servicing.
As-needed service
Call or text when the grass needs cutting. Popular with rental owners and seasonal residents — we fit you into our next available route.
Every mow includes string trimming of edges and a light cleanup of clippings from driveways and walkways.

How often should you mow a Calgary lawn?
Calgary lawns grow fastest from mid-May through mid-July, when weekly cutting keeps the grass at the right height and stops it going to seed. Through the hotter stretch of late July and August, growth slows and many yards do better on a biweekly schedule. We adjust as the season changes instead of locking you into one frequency that stops making sense in week six.
How we cut a Calgary lawn
Never more than one-third
We remove at most a third of the blade height in a single pass. Cutting more than that shocks the root system and yellows the lawn.
Height follows the season
6–8 cm through the growing peak, and slightly longer in the dry stretch so taller blades shade the soil and hold moisture.
Sharp blades, clean cut
Dull blades tear grass and leave brown tips that invite disease. Blades are sharpened on a fixed schedule, not when someone notices.
Clippings mulched back
By default we mulch clippings into the lawn, which returns nitrogen to the soil. Prefer them bagged? Just ask and we'll set your service up that way.
Calgary Grass Types We Mow
Kentucky Bluegrass
The most common turf grass in Calgary. Cool-season, spreads through rhizomes, recovers on its own. We keep it at 6–8 cm for root depth and drought resistance.
Perennial Ryegrass
Common in newer developments. Germinates fast, tolerates foot traffic, but needs seeding for repair. We mow it at 5–7 cm.
Fine Fescue
Shade-tolerant, great for tree-heavy yards. Needs less fertilizer, drought-tolerant once established. We mow at 5–8 cm without scalping in spring.
Common questions about lawn mowing in Calgary
How much does lawn mowing cost in Calgary?
Weekly mowing starts at $40 per visit on a regular lot, $50 on a corner lot, $55 on a pie-shaped lot and $100 on a large lot. Seasonal maintenance packages that include mowing, fertilizing and spring and fall cleanup run $145 to $255 per month.
How often should I mow my lawn in Calgary?
Weekly from mid-May to mid-July during peak growth, then biweekly from late July through the end of the season for most Calgary lawns. We adjust the schedule as growth changes.
What height should grass be cut in Calgary?
Generally 6 to 7.5 cm. Taller blades shade the soil, retain moisture and crowd out weeds, which matters during Calgary's dry spells. We never cut more than one-third of the blade at once.
Do you bag the clippings?
We mulch them back into the lawn by default, which returns nutrients to the soil. If you prefer bagging, just ask and we'll set your service up that way.
Can you mow a lawn that hasn't been cut in weeks?
Yes. We bring the height down gradually over two visits rather than scalping it in one pass, which damages the lawn.
Do you offer vacation coverage?
Yes, vacation coverage is one of our most common requests. We set a short-term schedule while you're away and the yard is in shape when you return.
Do you mow commercial properties?
Yes. We handle commercial lots, condo common areas and rental properties. Contact us for a volume quote.
